The INVOS system is the only cerebral/somatic oximetry system with FDA cleared improved outcome claims.1,2,3
The INVOS system provides real-time monitoring of changes in regional oxygen saturation (rSO2) of blood in the brain or other body tissues beneath the sensor for effective oxygen monitoring in adults, children, infants and neonates.
This unique system allows clinicians to measure site-specific oxygen levels rather than requiring them to infer the data from systemic, whole body measures such as blood pressure and pulse oximetry. Available in two or four data channels, clinicians can conveniently monitor multiple brain and body areas.
provides clinically relevant, absolute measurements that clearly indicate a patient's cerebral tissue oxygen saturation status. This vital information enables clinicians to identify and react to instances of lowered brain oxygen saturation before the situation becomes critical
NIRSensors for infants and neonates are used with the INVOS cerebral/somatic oximeter to generate continuous, noninvasive readings of regional blood oxygen levels in up to four site-specific areas chosen by the care team.
INVOS OxyAlert NIRSensors are applied to the skin’s surface, and are user and patient friendly, making monitoring of ischemic threats to the brain and body safe and easy. By reporting venous weighted regional hemoglobin oxygen saturation (rSO2) in tissue directly beneath the sensor, this reflects oxygen remaining after tissue demand has been met.
