Monofilament, Synthetic origin, Without dyeing
- Monofilament, synthetic, non-absorbable suture, presented in black, blue or undyed.
- Obtained from extrusion of polyamide (6.0 and 6.6) with a uniform cylindrical diameter.
- Tissue reaction is minimal.
- Nylon is a non-absorbable material that with time becomes encapsulated by connective tissue.
- While polyamide is not absorbed, progressive hydrolysis of the polyamide in vivo may result in gradual loss over time of tensile strength.
- Color code: Green
- Normally used when confronting tissue in Ophthalmic and Plastic Surgery.
CHARACTERISTICS + BENEFITS
- Synthetic origin (prime quality raw material).
- Inert = Low tissue reaction (upon implantation).
- Excellent knot coupling = Providing excellent knot security.
- Monofilament with uniform gauge = Smooth passage through tissue therefore, avoiding tissue drag.
- Hermetically sealed packaging = Guaranteed product sterility.
- Black, undyed and blue color = Excellent visibility in surgical field.
ABOUT:
- Its tensile strength and controlled elongation ensures the approximation of tissue borders.
- In addition, the sutures smooth passage through the tissue guarantees perfect healing.
- These physical attributes coupled with minimal tissue reaction, constitute an ideal suture for confronting a variety of tissue. Our ATRAMAT® Nylon materials are offered with a wide range of non-traumatic needles, precision sharpened, allowing for favorable cosmetic results.
- NYLON (Blue, Black) For: Plastic, Gynecology, Obstetrics, Orthopedic and General surgery.
- NYLON (Black) For: Ophthalmology, Neurology, Micro-vascular surgery.
- NYLON (Undyed) For: Plastic and Reconstructive surgery.
